We have a beautiful interpretation for you this week from our March Guest Designer, Vicki Chrisman. Vicki used the sketch as a springboard to create a spring canvas, and included some closeups so we can all get the Spring-time feeling we so desperately need and crave at this time of year! (Vicki lives in Nebraska, so she REALLY understands!) Vicki told me that she "flipped" the sketch when creating her canvas.
A Spring Canvas
A closeup of the beautiful button-centered flower Vicki included as the circular element shown on the sketch:
The sweet bird on the canvas.... can you hear her calling for Spring?
S:CY Designer Victoria Warren-Mears created a layout that showcased basketball photos of her son, Preston.
Victoria flipped the orientation of the pics from horizontal to vertical. A great way to use the sketch: making it more versatile. Victoria combined 2 patterned papers and anchored them with ink and a crisp turquoise frame. It looks so energetic used with this "sporty" theme.
S:CY Designer Helen Hollinger created a beach-themed "Malta" layout.
It made me want the "sunshine" to get to Nova Scotia more than ever! LOL! ;) I really like the "ticket" shaped journaling spot and the way the scallops remind me of ocean waves. And: that title lettering rocks!
Senior S:CY Designer Ann Seleshanko created a layout titled "This is the Life" that reminds us that we all need to relax sometimes!
(I know that we **all** need to listen to that advice...) I love how the swirly chipboard Ann used mimics the stems of the flowers on the patterned paper! The dotted frame on this layout really sets it off.
Thanks Vicki, Victoria, Helen and Ann for the beautiful creations this week! Awesome work girls... Sooooo loving having you with us, Vicki!
Have we sparked your creativity?
