Remarkable Bookmark Inspiration AND a Contest!!

Hi Everyone!
School's almost out!! Many of us would like to thank the educators who help our children grow wings every day. Our school discourages gifts, so I have found a few creative ways to tuck things into cards! Here's an idea for a simple Teacher and Educational Assistant "Thank You" gift!
Tucked into a pretty Thank you card, a handmade bookmark can be perfect. It will be used and appreciated! (No clutter!)

What uses do YOU have for your bookmarks?

Here are my answers:

I use them as little "gifties" inside cards.

I use a bookmark for 'the usual;" to mark a spot in a novel/book I am currently reading.

I also use one to mark a spot in my collection of scrappy sketches- which are in a looseleaf binder.

Ever used a bookmark to keep a recipe handy? I do this all the time. Saves searching through a recipe book for that tasty favourite! I leave the bookmark there!

In the phone book - use a bookmark as a handy "place marker! "

Recycling Tip! You can use any bookmark as a template for YOUR creation. I recently rec'd bookmarks from the MS-Watch and Terry Fox charities. I also received one from the library. Why not fancy one of these up?

For example, use the bookmark rec'd from the library for the project below. Cover it with CS or pp of your choice, and away you go!
A CY-RAK CONTEST FOR YOU ALL!!!!
I am sure you ALL have other ideas about handmade bookmarks!! Please share them in the "Comments" section and I will add them here at CY. Your name will then be added to a little CY-RAK. I'll draw for that next Monday evening! Each idea you share in the Comments section nets you a ballot in the draw Monday evening June 29th 2009!

Here's a Bookmark Sketch I created JUST for you:
