We are so excited today, because NOW we can spill the beans and ask you to please help Ann and me welcome our new "Sketches:Creatively Yours" Design Team!

1. CHERYL CASAS

S:CY Designer Cheryl Casas

Hi, my name is Cheryl Casas and I live near Palm Springs CA with my husband Peter and 3 kiddos (Jasmine, Gisselle and Andrew). I am a massage therapist and have been in that profession for 11 years. I love watching movies, we own almost every one!!
I started scrapping intently in 2009 and trust me, it is my passion!! I love the therapy it gives me, especially since I am pretty nutty, lol. And to be able to preserve so many memories in so many creative and artistic ways really makes me happy. I love to be "different" in styles and I am always willing to try new things. The best part is meeting so many wonderful people through this passion; it makes me eternally grateful.

3. HEATHER GETSON

S:CY Designer Heather Getson
Hello, my name is Heather Getson and I reside in the friendly province of Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been married for 25 years to my wonderful hubby, Keith, and our family consists of our son Zachary, two fur babies, named Milo and Socks, and a mix breed dog named Buddy.I am a SAHM since the birth of our son in 2001. Prior to that time, I worked in the food service industry for numerous years, including the operation of our own take- out.I officially began scrapbooking the year our son was born in March, 2001, when I received scrapping supplies as a baby gift. Like the majority of the population, I have been addicted to the hobby ever since. My interests have also expanded into card making, rubber-stamping, mixed media, and altered/recycled art. Other interests include RV camping, where you will find me hiding out on most weekends in the summertime, walking, reading and baking. I am presently the DT Recruiter at Jean's Art Dolls Forum. I am honored to be on the Design Team here at S:CY. So excited to have been chosen as part of the Team and look forward to gaining inspiration from the talented Designers. I am excited to begin the term. A huge congratulations and welcome to the new Design Team members.

4. HEATHER TOPICH

S:CY Designer Heather Bridges Topich
I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 kids. I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years but have only been very active for the past four. In that time, I have probably completed hundreds of layouts (mostly kids, family, self, and cookbooking). I have a shabby chic style and frequently use layered embellishments. I am currently a DT member at Journaling Junkie and was recently a Guest Designer at Scrapdango (January 2011). I’ve had nine layouts published in recent issues of Scrapbook News and Review magazine. Being part of this design team is a huge honor, and I know my work will benefit from being challenged this way.

I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. I have a very energetic four year old daughter and I’m married to the love of my life, Mark; who totally supports my scrapbooking habit. I work full time outside the home. I started scrapbooking in the fall of 2008 and never looked back. I have only recently started making cards. I love to read, go camping, spend time with my family and friends and of course, scrap. I am also an Independent MemoryWorks Consultant.

6. TAMMY PYETTE
S:CY Designer Tammy Pyette and her youngest child ~ Rilla

I am Mama to 4 kids and 4 pets and I have a wonderful husband named Steve who supports me in all my endeavors. I am homeschooling my children, one of whom has special needs. I have a bachelor of Life Science; I'm a published author, an award wining photographer, a scrapbooker, and a runner. I recently started doing yoga and I'm working on rediscovering all the French I have forgotten over the years.I began scrapbooking with paper, but since I was already familiar with Photoshop through my photography, the switch to digital scrabooking was a natural one. Now I like it for the variety it allows. I can create pages that look like they were made with paper, ribbon and lace etc., but I can also create things that would have been more difficult to do by hand. I can download/scan/photograph anything that catches my eye, or can create complete pages from the background up using only photoshop tools and brushes. I am limited only by my imagination and ability to use the programs.

7. RENEE HAGLER
S:CY Designer Renee Hagler
I have been scrapbooking for about 11 years. I started designing for teams in about 2005 and worked continuously until mid-2010. At that time, our family moved, sold a house, bought a house all while I was learning a new job. I took a hiatus from scrapbooking until a few months ago. I am very much an assignment scrapper. I am much more creative when I have an "assignment" to work on. I have also amassed a huge stash of product that I would very much like to make a dent in. A sketch team provides me with great inspiration to help me work through my stash and make pages I really love. I very much enjoyed working with the DT contest S:CY sketch and now look forward to working with the Team.

8. MANDY HARRELL
S:CY Designer Mandy Harrell
My name is Mandy Harrell, aka Craftysprinkles. I am a SAHM of five kids, who all put up with my creative ideas. I have been scrapping for over 17 years now, but I really blossomed in the last two years when I started getting online and frequenting galleries. I also love photography and I love how both my hobbies go hand in hand. I am a big fan of working with sketches and I am thrilled to be a part of the S:CY team. I think S:CY is a cute blog and I love how Ali draws the sketches!

9. MAGGI HARDING

S:CY Designer Maggi Harding
Hi, my name is Maggi and I live in NC with my wonderful husband and two standard poodles that we refer to as the spoos. They are my children and of course, I do a lot of layouts featuring my furkids. My husband and I have been married for 18 very happy years, and in those 18 years we’ve lived in Washington DC, Fairbanks, Alaska, Denver, CO and North Carolina. No, we are not currently military, but my husband is a retired Navy pilot and I am an Army brat. That means that moving is second nature to us and every 2 – 3 years we get the bug to move. However, I have nailed the furniture down and I’m not moving again! However, we do like to travel with the spoos in our motorhome and that means I also do a lot of travel layouts.I think I’ve always been a scrapper, I just didn’t know it! I had scrapbooks as a teen with all kinds of ephemera in them. Unfortunately, in my later years, I was so embarrassed by my silly childhood collections that I destroyed them! There was a mostly disintegrated leaf from a tree at Paul McCartney’s house in there. That is a clue to my age. Then in 2005, I started scrapbooking as we know it today and I’m completely OCD about it!I love scrapping 12 x 12 pages but I also have a real love for making paperbag albums, ATCs, and something new I recently discovered, arches. For me, scrapbooking is an artistic adventure, what can I create next, how can I make this piece of paper come to life? How can I tell the story that is hidden in this photograph?

10. HELEN HOLLINGER
S:CY Designer Helen Hollinger

Hi Everyone!  I'm Helen. I am married to a wonderful man of 25 years who supports my obsession completely! I am a SAHM to 16 and 20 year old boys who drive me crazy ... but I love them and wouldn't want to change this for the world! I have been scrapbooking for about 7 years and enjoy trying new techniques and being creative! I also love knitting, cross-stitch, and gardening!

I am honored to be on Ali's team at Sketches: Creatively Yours, and LOVE using sketches as a starting point in my scrapping. Sometimes it looks like the sketch, sometimes it takes me other places!!! All in all... I just love everything about scrapbooking!

11. AMY MANIS
S:CY Designer Amy Manis

Hi! I am Amy Manis, a small town girl living in Ohio. I am married with two daughters ages five and three who are the main subjects of my layouts. In 1998 I was introduced to scrapbooking by a friend. She asked me to help her put some scrapbooks together with her and of course I said “yes.” As we were putting these scrapbooks together I was instantly hooked. And today, I am enjoying putting my own scrapbooks together. I do use sketches-- it provides a creative outlet and I use them to step out of my comfort zone. I am so excited to be part of the S:CY Design Team with all of you!!!! Thank you!!!Looking forward getting to know you!

12. PATRICIA MOUSSATCHE

S:CY Designer Patricia ("Patchi") Moussatche
Hi! My name is Patricia Moussatche. I go by the name "Patchi," as you will see on my Blog. I'm a scientist by profession and mother of two boys aged 3 and 5. I turn to scrapbooking and card making to release my daily stress and creativity. I started scrapbooking when my oldest son was born, then really got into it while on bed rest during my second pregnancy. Once my boys were a bit older and a bit less demanding, I started spending most of my free time surrounded by patterned paper. I started the LO and Read blog over a year ago to share my hobbies. Blogging has kept me motivated and has helped me to interact with other scrappers. If you browse my blog, you can see I enjoy using bright colors, mixing patterned papers, decorating boxes, multi-photo layouts and making cards with scraps. And of course I love working with sketches - they are so inspiring! In January I was a guest designer at the "Apron Strings" blog http://www.apronstringsdesigns.com/ , and I am currently on the "Party Time Tuesday" Design Team http://partytimetuesdays.blogspot.com/.

13. JACKIE PLANK

S:CY Designer Jackie Plank
Hi, my name is Jackie Plank and I have been scrapping for about 6 years now. It pretty much consumes my whole life. It is just me and my husband at home now and he spends his time watching TV so I spend mine in my scrappy room. I love working with sketches. Sometimes I follow them exactly and sometimes the results are almost completely different. I rarely do digital although I have done a fair amount of hybrid. I enjoy searching online for just the right embellishment, but I enjoy working with paper too much to go full digital. I like making my own embellishments when I can and spend a lot of time on YouTube searching and watching tutorials. I enjoy trying new techniques.

My blog can be located at http://jackiepstuff.blogspot.com/
and I am active on several scrappy forums.

14. MICHELLE SHEEHAN

S:CY Designer Michelle Sheehan
Hi, I’m Michelle. I'm 35 and live in Canberra, Australia with my DH, we have no children though do have 2 fur babies. When I'm not scrapping I'm reading, as I love to read. I also like to spend time with my DH and my family. I've been scrapping for 7 years and totally addicted, I don't have one particular style as I like trying new things, my favourite manufacturers are Prima, My Minds Eye, October Afternoon, Fancy Pants, Tim Holtz, Cosmo Cricket and Graphic45. I'm also addicted to my copic markers and currently have 72 of them and hoping to get some more soon. I love distressing and inking and using staples on a layout. I am  also the DT Coordinator at Jean's Art Dolls Forum!

Hi, my name is Sylvia Tomala and I live in Kanata, Ontario, a suburb of Ottawa. I'm a single mom, (widow) to 3 typical teens- 2 girls and a boy in between. Scrapbooking has been my creative outlet and passion since 2005. It's a fun and rewarding hobby. I have had the pleasure of Guest Designing for 2 sites: "Pick of the Patch" and "Savvy ‘n Sassy." Sketch #48-10

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a very special sketch for you all!

I wanted to create a layout design that I could use to stash some of the neat school mementos, like little Math quizzes that my son Daniel (age 10) brought home from school in Grade 4. (He has just started Grade 5.)

I kind of felt that something simple would be best.... and I wanted to include a paperclip, just for fun!

Well, I came up with the sketch below. Hope you will try it!

WOW... it's September already! I have great news!

A new month means that a brand new Guest Designer is joining us here @ Sketches: Creatively Yours!

It is a great pleasure to introduce you to Lisa Imthorn, a Canadian gal who creates amazingly beautiful layouts and cards. Lisa is a talented member of the Copic Design Team at Savvy n Sassy, with a great work ethic and skill as a teacher and motivator.
Lisa's blog link is: http://mycozycraftycorner.blogspot.com/

I asked Lisa to tell us a little bit about herself!

September 2010 Guest Designer~ Lisa Imthorn

Lisa's Bio~

Hello there!

My name is Lisa and I am a WAHM (medical transcription) from Salmon Arm, British Columbia. I started scrapbooking about 8 years ago and have recently fallen in love with card making using my Copic markers.

My favorite company has to be Basic Grey as I seem to purchase every line they make and I am also fond of any type of embellishment – especially those blingy pieces!

I was thrilled when Ali asked me to be the Guest DT for September.
I recently took a vacation to beautiful Hornby Island and the pictures I took while there will be the subject of my layouts this month.

I am honored to be a part of this amazing team for the month of September and hope you will find some creative inspiration in my submissions.

Thanks to Ali, Ann and everyone at S:CY!!!

Here are a couple of Lisa's favourite creations for you to enjoy!! Aren't they great? Love those bright colours- so much fun!
